IWSG Day and The Divine Comedy Live!

Today is... Insecure Writer's Support Group Day!

Insecure Writer's Support Group

A database resource site and support group for writers and authors. Featuring weekly guests and tips, a monthly blogfest gathering, a Facebook group, and thousands of links – all to benefit writers! #IWSG

Website / Facebook Group / Fast Five Free Gift - Mobi / Epub / Pdf

“Purpose: To share and encourage. Writers can express doubts and concerns without fear of appearing foolish or weak. Those who have been through the fire can offer assistance and guidance. It’s a safe haven for insecure writers of all kinds!

Posting: The first Wednesday of every month is officially Insecure Writer’s Support Group day. Post your thoughts on your own blog. Talk about your doubts and the fears you have conquered. Discuss your struggles and triumphs. Offer a word of encouragement for others who are struggling. Visit others in the group and connect with your fellow writer - aim for a dozen new people each time - and return comments. This group is all about connecting!

Let’s rock the neurotic writing world!

The awesome co-hosts for the March posting of the IWSG are PJ Colando, Ronel Janse van Vuuren, and Natalie Aguirre!

Every month, we announce a question that members can answer in their IWSG post. These questions may prompt you to share advice, insight, a personal experience or story. Include your answer to the question in your IWSG post or let it inspire your post if you are struggling with something to say. Remember, the question is optional

March question - What elements do you include in your book launch? Or what do you have in mind for your future book launch? Or what advice do you have to offer to others planning to launch a book?

Ooh, good question!
I...haven't done as much as I could.
Mostly because I'm not in North America, where I might host library events or join other authors at conventions and things. And I know reviews are important -- authors with a "street team" seem to do well.

I've done lots of blog tours and blog hops, fellow bloggers are always so supportive!

So I'm not sure I'm the most qualified to give advice... I would suggest, get out there, but not only for promotion -- it helps if you're commenting on others, supporting other authors and readers in the community. Friendships are the best part!

Last week, I got to see The Divine Comedy live!

The last time I got to see them was in 2022, which is also the last time (I think) that I've managed to take part in the Blogging from A to Z Challenge.

I posted about the concert like this:

On the train to Lausanne

Dinner before the gig

Opening act, The Company of Men

The Divine Comedy!

Going home

This year, they came to Geneva! The opening act was Sky of Augustine, from Zermatt.

A photo of the set list! Sadly, someone else got to keep the copy!

I made a playlist of the setlist!

What was the most recent concert you went to?

Comments

Lots of cool concert pictures.
Yes, supporting other authors is critical!
