Am I Still Ill?

Ladies and Gentlemen, this blog is brought to you - late and without the usual plethora of links - by what Janet Reid is calling The Galloping Crud and what Maureen Johnson calls the Plague of 2013.

All this is happening on Twitter, which I access on my iPod; about the only thing I'm strong enough to hold up. Seriously. Couldn't even raise a book until last night. Been watching a lot of Big Bang Theory and Frasier reruns.

I apologise for my continued absence in comments and on your blogs, and hope I'll be back in top form soon - and that none of you that hasn't already done so (in which case I extend chicken soup) catches this terribleness. Stay hydrated!

Deniz, I can relate. Been suffering with this stuff for over two weeks.

Feel better soon. You are missed.

I totally sympathize. I've been consistently sick since before Christmas. It really is like some mutating plague, every time I think I'm getting better the next day a new symptom shows up and makes everything worse. As a fantasy writer, I naturally have to assume there's some malevolent force behind it whose goal is to keep me from accomplishing anything while my household descends into chaos. It's out there somewhere... watching and laughing. All I need to do is find some sort of magic talisman so that I can defeat it, hopefully my new antibiotics count.

So sorry you feel so bad. I wish I lived close enough to bring you soup and tempting breads. Rest, and get better soon.

Glad I left the U.S. before that bug got around to us on the left coast. I hope you get well soon! Hmmm, Seinfeld reruns might hasten your recovery. Cheers!

Aww, thanks everyone! I'd hug you back, but, you know...
Bread sounds lovely Sara - I haven't had bread or coffee in five days!
If I find a talisman I'll pass it on, Sarah. I hope the malevolence is countered by something awesome soon!
The Big Bang Theory is a good way to make yourself feel better, because that cast is hilarious. My favorite is Sheldon because of how he takes everything so literally. I also love Frasier because he's so obsessive and neurotic; practically every episode is about another one of his obsessions. I hope that you do feel better soon!

I agree! Love that episode where Sheldon's trying to teach Penny physics. The most recent Frasier I saw was the one where he's dating the supermodel but no one'll believe him because they keep crossing paths. And I got to see the Seinfeld BO episode - the Beast! There may or may not have been some Night Court as well...

Get well soon!

I've had a lingering cough. It's abnormal. Sometimes I feel like I'll choke on the cruddy stuff.

I hope 2013 is a healthier year for everyone and that this plague goes away.
