L is for the Library

L is for the List of 180 and the Library in English.

For this year's A to Z I'm featuring books I've read based on the Reading Challenge.

Today's book is a book you own but have never read.

I recently blogged about the (mostly) failure to read, by 2015, 180 books I own but hadn't read, since most of the books are now in storage. In our new place I already have 70 books to read - actually, it's down to 65 now. I'm making a dent in the pile!

Mainly because there's a book fair coming up! The Library in English in Geneva is having its biannual book sale at the end of the month.

Which books do you think I should get?

Oh, library book sales are awesome--they usually are cheap! Though I have a hard time knowing what to recommend, as I don't know what you've read. The couple books I've read lately that I really loved were Marbury Lens (Andrew Smith) and Scorpio Races (Maggie Stiefvater).

Hi, Deniz,

I am guilty....

I have hundreds of books in "my" library that I have not read YET...

Once I move into my next home, which will HOPEFULLY be THE HOME, I will set up my upstairs library/office, and attempt to read every evening until I've read many of my collection.

Many books I have are from authors I have met and purchased their books. I must admit not all of them interest me, BUT you know who WE are... we love books, just to have and look at them. LOL.

Enjoy your books... I hope you enjoy them!!!!!

Libraries are awesome. And I have a ton of books that I haven't started yet. Why do I keep buying them? :)
In other words, you are about to add to that stack!

There isn't enough time in the day to read all the books I have on my shelves and on my lists to read! Have you read anything by David Foster Wallace? I love love love love love his writing. A great place to start is "A Supposedly Fun Thing I'll Never Do Again."

Blogs such as yours are so appealing to me as I am always on the lookout for new and interesting books to read, even though I have PLENTY of things to read already! Reading is just the best.

Have you read Unbroken? Currently, that is the book I'm recommending left and right to everyone.

Ooh, thanks for the recommendations, all!
I picked up quite a few books...and counted what's in the house. Basically, of all the books, there are still 60 that I haven't read!
