Purpose: To share and encourage. Writers can express doubts and concerns without fear of appearing foolish or weak. Those who have been through the fire can offer assistance and guidance. It’s a safe haven for insecure writers of all kinds!
Posting: The first Wednesday of every month is officially Insecure Writer’s Support Group day. Post your thoughts on your own blog. Talk about your doubts and the fears you have conquered. Discuss your struggles and triumphs. Offer a word of encouragement for others who are struggling. Visit others in the group and connect with your fellow writer - aim for a dozen new people each time - and return comments. This group is all about connecting!

Be sure to link to this page and display the badge in your post. And please be sure your avatar links back to your blog! Our Twitter handle is @TheIWSG and hashtag is #IWSG.

The awesome co-hosts for the April 2 posting of the IWSG are Jennifer Lane, L Diane Wolfe, Jenni Enzor, and Natalie Aguirre!

Every month, we announce a question that members can answer in their IWSG post. These questions may prompt you to share advice, insight, a personal experience or story. Include your answer to the question in your IWSG post or let it inspire your post if you are struggling with something to say.

Remember, the question is optional

April 2 question - What fantasy character would you like to fight, go on a quest with, or have a beer/glass of wine with?

Wow, this is a great question. I mean, obviously I'd love to visit the Shire, and Bree, and the court of Aragorn and Arwen, and Farmir and Eowyn's home and... Well, anyway.

Besides that, I wouldn't mind being inside Tolkien's The Notion Club Papers, about as close as you can get to hanging out with the Inklings.

And I'd love to be friends with Tommy and Tuppence Beresford! I mean, I'd like to visit with Poirot and Marple, too, but I'd probably get tongue-tied.

The closest I've come to doing these things is writing stories that sort of feature some of these characters in the background -- or I have my characters talk about them, if that works for the story!

Especially at the moment, because I'm about to run myfirst ever fan-creative event, called First Times Week. That's pretty much the prompt -- write about a First Time. Starts next week!

On our third day in Ireland, we went to Kilkenny...and ate lunch at a Turkish place!

Yes, we had haggis for dinner! Courtesy of a Scottish friend...

Have you organised a fan event before?

Haggis in a tube? Yum!

I would love to go to Ireland. Looks like a great trip!
Some of those sky shots are amazing.
No surprise you'd want to hang out with Middle Earth characters.

I picked Pippin!

I'd love to visit Ireland. And my author, Damien Larkin, could play guide. (He knows where all the pubs are - LOL!)

Turkish restaurant in Ireland? Who would have thought? Was it good?
