IWSG Day! And Audrey Hepburn in Switzerland

Third installment of the villages in Vaud photos (scroll down for the first two installments).

Today's feature is the tiny hamlet of Tolochenaz, where Audrey Hepburn lived for 30 years!

NaNoWriMo has started!

I'm drafting a new story, because that's the easiest to fit in with my current schedules. But I'm trying something new -- drafting directly onto the screen, instead of using pen and paper. It makes marginal notes and scribbles difficult, but will save me having to type it up later (I used to edit as I typed up a story but haven't had time for that lately, and typing without adding to the story or making changes becomes mere rote work).

Today is also Insecure Writer's Support Group Day!

Based on what I'm doing for NaNo, my tip for IWSG Day is to not be bound by rules if they don't fit your working style! Feel free to go outside the boundaries. Switch things up if patterns are becoming stale!

Are you writing for NaNo or outside of NaNo or mixing up a NaNo project with other projects?

She was such a classy lady. Love the pictures (and that little baby!).

I've often switched to writing with pencil and paper when I'm stuck on my laptop. I want to try to write without editing as I go (aaahhhh).
Hi Deniz .. she's a sweety - your littlie - actually so was Audrey! How wonderful you were able to look around 'her village' .. it looks delightful.

Oh how I agree ... only follow the rules if you must or it's practical to do so ... I just do my thing and my way usually ... I'll absorb the needs as I go ... well done you. Cheers and good luck with your ideas - Hilary
That's cool you got to visit all of those places.
Good luck with NaNo this year.

I love those pictures. So beautiful.

I don't NaNo, but I hope it's an epic one for you!

Hi Deniz. I'm loving the way all the NaNo rebels are saying break the rules. I've usually done that after the first few years of being a stickler for the rules. This year I'm planning on drafting the next two books in my paranormal series.

Envious of your travels and your time for NaNo even if you are not playing by the rules. October-December is a crazy time for me and I have never tried NaNo.

How cool! Thanks for taking us on a tour with you. :) I am not participating in NaNoWriMo- because things are too busy with my day job right now- but I hope maybe next year to try it for the first time. Good luck!

Such a pretty place!!! I will have to add it to my list of places to see.

I am doing NaNo. I'm surprised I've been able to keep on track so far

Thanks all!
Yep, I only managed to win NaNo by the skin of my teeth -- and 5,000 words of free form stream of consciousness to see how the story would end!

I'd like to visit Morrisson's grave, too. And the catacombs!
