Heat Wave Photos and Lord of the Rings Readalong

It's really hot where we are, so I have some soothing nature photos today!

Also, the whole family is rereading The Lord of the Rings at the same time!

I like the idea of a read along with the whole family, but we all have different interests. Beautiful photos of the lake and the cherries. We supposedly had a good cherry year, but our tree were cleaned out by birds and squirrels and a bear before any of them fully ripped.

The same thing happened to us! Last year, the neighbours all went out with a ladder and we had a communal picking day, but everyone was away this year, unfortunately!

Hi Deniz - it's been glorious weather - we've just had a lovely rainstorm - a decent amount, not a deluge, but plenty for a change. No I've never had a read along - our father used to read Lear, Flanders and Swann, and similar to us ... many I've posted about. Cherries - I have to get to Marks and Sparks ... no trees here! Happy rest of the season - cheers Hilary
